Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Pray

Dear God,

You have taught us through the words of this verse that unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Help me to understand the deeper meaning of this verse and to apply it to my own life. Teach me to let go of my old ways and to surrender my desires and ambitions to You. Help me to die to my selfish desires and to live for You, producing fruit that will bring glory to Your name.

Father, help me to embrace the process of dying to self so that I may experience the fullness of life that You have promised. Give me the strength and courage to let go of my own will and to trust in Your perfect plan for my life. Help me to be willing to sacrifice my own desires for the greater purpose of furthering Your kingdom and impacting the lives of those around me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
