September 8 – Noon

Read

When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.

(Jonah 3:10)

Pray

Dear God,

You are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. You have shown Your grace and forgiveness to the people of Nineveh, despite their sinful ways. I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my own shortcomings and mistakes. I ask for Your forgiveness and mercy, knowing that You are willing to forgive and restore those who come to You with repentant hearts. Help me to turn away from my own sinful ways and walk in obedience to Your will.

I pray for the same compassion and forgiveness to be extended to those around me. May Your love and grace be evident in the lives of those who have yet to experience Your saving power. I also lift up those who are struggling with their own doubts and fears, that they may find hope and peace in Your presence. Thank You for Your unending love and grace, and for the opportunity to be restored through Your mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
