if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

(2 Chronicles 7:14)

Pray

Dear God,

You have promised in this verse that if Your people humble themselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land. I come before You now, humbly acknowledging my own shortcomings and the ways in which I have fallen short of Your will. I seek Your forgiveness and ask for Your guidance in turning away from any behaviors or attitudes that are not pleasing to You. Help me to be a beacon of Your love and grace in this broken world, and to bring healing and reconciliation wherever I go.

I pray for our world, our communities, and our leaders, that they may also humble themselves before You, seek Your wisdom, and work for the common good. Heal the wounds of division and bring about reconciliation and unity among Your people. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank You for hearing my prayer, and for the promise of Your presence and forgiveness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
