September 17 – Evening

Read

And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.

(Mark 14:40)

Pray

Dear God,

You know the depth of my soul and the struggles I face. Just as Your disciples fell asleep while Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, I sometimes find it hard to stay awake and alert to Your presence. I ask for Your strength and grace to help me stay awake and vigilant, especially in times of temptation and spiritual battles. Please grant me the discernment to recognize the tactics of the enemy and the wisdom to overcome them through Your power.

You are my refuge and my strength, and I seek Your guidance and protection as I navigate through the challenges of life. Help me to be steadfast and faithful in my walk with You, just as Jesus was in his darkest hour. I pray for the courage to follow Your will and the endurance to persevere in times of trial. Thank You for Your unwavering love and grace, and may I always find refuge in Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
