May 27 – Evening

Read

For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.

(Matthew 8:9)

Pray

Dear God,

You are the ultimate authority and we recognize that all power comes from You. Just as the centurion in this verse acknowledged Jesus’ authority and knew that all it took was a word from Him to heal his servant, we too recognize Your power and authority in our lives. We humbly come before You, seeking Your guidance and strength. Help us to have the same faith and trust in You that the centurion had, knowing that You can do all things.

We ask for Your healing touch not only for ourselves but for those around us who are in need. Grant us the faith to believe that with a word from You, all things are possible. Help us to trust in Your timing and to have patience as we wait for Your response to our prayers. Give us the courage to approach You with boldness, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Thank You for Your love and faithfulness, and for the assurance that we can always rely on Your unfailing power.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
