June 5 – Morning

Do I not hate those who hate you, LORD, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?

(Psalm 139:21)

Dear God,

You know my heart and my thoughts, and You know that I have deep pain and anger towards those who are hostile towards You. Help me to realize that my anger is not righteous, and to see those people as You see them, with love and compassion. Teach me to respond to their hostility with grace and forgiveness, just as You have done for me time and time again. Help me to remember that Your ways are higher than mine, and to trust in Your perfect justice.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
