Read

And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’

(Luke 22:19)

Pray

Dear God,

You have given us the reminder in this verse that we are to remember and celebrate the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Thank You for sending Your Son to pay the ultimate price for our sins. Help us to always remember the significance of the Last Supper and the communion we share with You and our fellow believers. May we never take for granted the gift of salvation and the love You have shown us through Christ’s sacrifice.

As we partake in communion, may we do so with reverence and gratitude in our hearts. May we never forget the price that was paid for our redemption and may we live our lives in a way that reflects our deep appreciation for what Jesus did for us on the cross. We thank You for Your love and grace, and we ask for Your strength and guidance as we strive to live in a manner that honors and pleases You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
