June 4 – Noon

Read

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

(Acts 13:2-3)

Pray

Dear God,

You have called us to be both listeners and responders to the promptings of Your Holy Spirit. As we seek Your will in our lives and ministries, may we be sensitive to Your leading and ready to obey Your direction. Help us to surrender our own agendas and preferences, and to submit to Your sovereign plan for our lives. Give us the courage and faith to step out in obedience, trusting that You will go before us and equip us for the work You have called us to.

Father, we pray that You would continue to raise up and send out laborers into the harvest field, just as You did in the early church. May Your Spirit continue to guide and empower Your people to spread the good news of Jesus to the ends of the earth. We ask for boldness and clarity in our proclamation, and for hearts that are receptive to the gospel message. Use us as Your instruments to bring about transformation and revival in the world around us, for the glory of Your name.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
