December 12 – Evening

Read

Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.’

(Luke 12:15)

Pray

Dear God,

You remind us in this verse that life does not consist in an abundance of possessions. Help me to remember this truth as I navigate through the temptations of materialism and the pursuit of wealth. Teach me to find contentment in You and to prioritize the things that truly matter in life, such as love, kindness, and serving others. Guide me in seeking Your kingdom above all else and trusting in Your provision for my needs.

Please grant me the wisdom to steward the resources You have entrusted to me with humility and generosity. Free me from the trap of greed and help me to have a heart that is rich towards You and others. May my life be a reflection of Your love and grace, and may I find true fulfillment in honoring and glorifying You with all that I possess. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for being my ultimate source of joy and satisfaction.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
