Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

Pray

Dear God,

You are the God of comfort and love. You know the desires of our hearts and You understand our need for Your presence in our lives. Just as the disciples of John asked Jesus why they and the Pharisees fasted often, but his disciples did not, we come to You seeking understanding and guidance. Help us to trust in Your timing and to seek You wholeheartedly, knowing that You will fulfill our needs in Your perfect way.

Grant us the strength to wait patiently for Your answers and to find peace in Your presence. Help us to remain faithful in prayer and to seek Your will above all else. May we remember that You are with us always, and that Your love and grace are enough to sustain us through any trial or struggle. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
