August 13 – Evening

Read

Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts;

(Jeremiah 15:16)

Pray

Dear God,

You know the deep longing of my heart to seek You and Your word, as it is written in this verse, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart.” I pray that You would continue to ignite a passion within me to meditate on Your word and find joy in it. Help me to continually seek You and find delight in Your presence and Your promises. I know that through Your word, I can find strength, hope, and peace.

I ask for Your guidance and wisdom as I navigate through the challenges and uncertainties of life. May Your word be a source of comfort and assurance, and may it continue to shape and transform me into the person You have called me to be. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for the joy that comes from knowing You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
