August 10 – Morning

Read

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

(Proverbs 13:12)

Pray

Dear God,

You know the desires of my heart and the struggles I face each day. When hope is deferred, it truly does make the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. I come to You in prayer, asking for the strength and faith to persevere through difficult times, and to trust in Your perfect timing. Help me to keep my eyes on You and not grow weary in waiting for Your blessings to be fulfilled in my life.

I pray for the patience to wait for Your perfect plans to unfold, and the courage to continue believing in Your promises. Please grant me the peace and joy that comes from knowing that You are in control, and that Your timing is always perfect. May my heart be filled with hope and expectation, knowing that You are faithful and will bring to fruition the desires that You have placed within me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
